Onyro

The PC stays a PC

Couch gaming PC launcher: use your Windows PC from the sofa

Onyro Game Room is a controller-first launcher for games already installed on Windows. It does not turn the PC into a different operating system.

Sign in to Windows yourself. Onyro has no account of its own. Your Steam, Xbox, Epic and other accounts stay in those apps.

Startup

No store accounts to connect and no plug-ins to install. Open Onyro once, turn on the optional startup helper, and it appears when you sign in to Windows.

Turn on a controller

With that helper on, switching on a controller opens Onyro or brings it forward after Windows is signed in.

Launch a game

Choose the game on the shelf. It starts through the original launcher. Onyro steps aside while you play and returns when the game closes.

Come back, then power

If a window blocks you, Hold Start + Select for 3 seconds and use the controller as a mouse. Doing the same again hides the mouse. Select opens power: exit Onyro, restart, or shut down. Each action asks first.

What it cannot do

  • It cannot wake a PC that is fully powered off.
  • It cannot wake a PC that is asleep.
  • It cannot click Windows admin prompts.
  • It does not sell games or provide the Game Pass catalogue.

Runs on Windows 11 and Windows 10 version 1809 or later (64-bit). For security, use a Windows version Microsoft still supports.
